Club Captain 2009

The new season will see a new captain at the helm. At the AGM held on 27 November, Geraint Lewis was nominated as captain for 2009 and was duly appointed. All players and backroom boys will be looking forward to Geraint leading the club through a successful campaign. Our thanks are offered to Gareth Jones for his hard work over the past few years

The 2^nd XI will be led again by Alan Hughes, who needs all the support we can give to get the team back into the top Division at the first attempt.

Centenary Celebrations

You will all be aware that 2008 was the club’s centenary year. Such a milestone is a special event for any organisation and the intent was for it not to be an exception for LFCC. (More)

Do you want more cricket this year?

If you answer yes to this question, then you will be pleased to know that the Club has been entered into the Rhondda Midweek League, after a few years absence. The decision to apply was debated at length and the case for entry was principally based on the opportunity it gives for developing our young talent alongside the more established players in the Club. This is a valuable step in building the club and your full support will ensure long term benefits.
