Llantwit Fardre Cricket Club recently held a very successful evening for the presentation of awards to its youth section. A gathering of more than 50 players and parents were present to see the awards presented by Councillor Graham Stacey and international rugby players and first team cricketers Geraint Lewis and Gareth Wyatt. Lyn Morris the youth team guru for Llantwit Fardre conducted affairs and related how successful all the teams had been this year at U11, U13 and U15. Also successful was a girls team and for the first time a team at U9 age. Each player was presented
with a medal to celebrate their achievements. Special awards, for players of the year, were given to Matthew Walsh (U13), Michael Grossett (U15) and Bronwen Preston Meek (girls).
