Youth Centenary Matches 2008 |

Llantwit
Fardre Cricket Club continued their centenary celebrations with two fine
games at Central Park Church Village on Sunday, 15th June where the youth teams
took on representative sides from the (Lord’s International) Mid
Glamorgan Junior League. In the morning the U/11’s were in action and
in a well contested match Llantwit Fardre prevailed winning off the last
ball of game with man of the match James Bull(27n.o) striking the
winning run . In the
afternoon with an equally exciting game Llantwit Fardre won in the last
over but this time man of match went to the opposition’s Ashley Lewis
of Tondu Cricket Club who scored a fine 29n.o. Llantwit
Fardre Cricket Club would like offer their thanks to Keith Davies
secretary of the Mid.Glamorgan Junior League for organising the two
representative teams and Match day
sponsors Advanced Crusher Spares (U/11) Mooneerams Solicitors (U/13) and
Lords International (Trophies) On Sunday June 29th
the U/15s side took on a representative side from the Mid Glamorgan
Junior League at At present
both Llantwit’s U/11 and U/15 are riding high at the top of their age
groups in the Mid Glamorgan Junior League. |
