We
regret to record the death of John Stephens, life member of the cricket
club.
John
was a stalwart member over many years having been captain, chairman and
a committee man.He was a hard hitting batsman and could throw a cricket
ball further than any one in the club being known to clear 180 yards
right across the park.
John
had lately suffered from Parkinson's Disease borne bravely and well
looked after by his wife Gwenda. His son Jonathan also played for the
club and still does so when he returns sometimes to the village.

commiserations to Gwenda and Jonathan.
