Llantwit Fardre Cricket Club recently gathered
together at Llantwit Fardre Sports Club to make presentations to its
Youth Section
More than a 100 players,parents and supporters
gathered to celebrate the very successful 2007 season in the presence of
John Stone the vice chairman of Llantwit Fardre Community Council who
made presentations to the squads at U9, U11, U13 and U15 ages.
Each player received a centenary cap, a medal and a
car sticker to recognise their contribution to the season's success. The
youth player of the year Mike Grossett received a trophy.
Lyn Morris, the Youth Organiser, gave a resumee of
the season and pinpointed the success and enjoyment that had occurred in
spite of the atrocious weather.
Mal Enoch, the club President, emphasised how
pleased the club were to provide cricket for the wide range of youth
ages and expressed the wish that all the players would progress to the
senior teams in the future. Many thanks were due to Lyn Morris and his
helpers in organising and coaching the youth.
